In May we snuck out to Vegas for a weekend to celebrate our anniversary. I have been meaning to post a little recap but my laptop ran out of space so all videos and photos have been sitting in the camera until just recently. We started project 'more hard drive space' and it's a bigger undertaking than I imagined. But that's a whole different post. Back to Vegas.
We stayed at the Four Seasons which is the top few floors of Mandalay Bay, it has it's own entrance, valet, lobby, and there's no casino, no nasty smoke to walk through on your way to your room. We loved it. We ate at Bardot one night and Blue Ribbon for sushi the other. Our big reason for going was to see my all time favorite music entertainer, Lionel Richie, in concert. What a fabulous show he put on, and it helped it was called All the Hits, which means he played every hit he's ever had. He didn't miss one! Which was kind of my worry, that he would miss a song I love. He's pretty funny too. I saw him years ago when I was around 18, and would see him again and again. Can we go again babe? How we take a photo together when no one else is around...
We got tickets for one afternoon to the Neon Boneyard and it was a highlight for us. It's about an hour to hour and a half long, they take you through their small outdoor museum of all the old Vegas signs and give you such an awesome history lesson of the city. I highly highly recommend it, but get tickets ahead of time, it sells out quick the day of. Also, they don't let you take video, only photos, but somehow my go pro was set to video when I thought I was taking a photo, so there's a few seconds of video at the end of this post. Oops, sorry Boneyard.
We also explored Fremont Street for the first time and the Container Park. All fun spots to adventure to. Vintage stores, yummy food, and neat old buildings and signs. We napped, worked out, and walked walked walked.
Until next time Vegas! Here's a little mini video I made, I thought I took more footage than I did, but I guess not. Just us doing a lot of talking haha.
