Week 39 in the 52 Week Family Project
This past week we enjoyed a family staycation day where Aaron almost entirely left his work phone home. It was pretty much the best thing ever. There's been more than one or maybe fifteen hundred thirty seven times where I've wanted to throw that thing out the window. I know there's always going to be an emergency somewhere, but I think rude customers and co-workers are even worse than the broken machines. We went to the movies, out to lunch, enjoyed a wonderful afternoon bike ride to the park, and Aaron and I used some massage gift certificates we had been saving. If only every day were so blissful. It was then back to the grind of work, school projects, and a dead car battery. Hopping in the car on a Friday morning to get 3 kids to 2 different schools, only 4 minutes between start bells, on a day where Aaron is exclusively in his Glendale office by 6:30am, only to find someone hadn't shut a car door the night before and you're left with a dead battery, it makes for an interesting morning. We have no extra car, aren't in walking distance to 1 school, and we don't generally leave much cushion room to account for car problems. Thankfully we have fabulous friends and neighbors who go to the same schools.
