Wednesday Wears : 1

First I want to start off by saying THANK YOU to all of you that took my survey. It was so awesome to get your feedback and thoughts. I loved finding out more information on who reads this blog and what you enjoy about it. I learned a lot, but the one thing that stood out to me from all your comments is that you would like to see more fashion/style posts from me. Me and or the kids was a resounding request, so I’m going to try my hand at a new little series on the blog.

Wednesday Wears. It might not be weekly, but I will shoot for at least 2 posts a month. It’ll have anything from outfits I put together for myself, to items the kids are wearing and loving, to sources on where I buy our clothes. Maybe a few tips here and there on putting together an outfit.

I was under the impression that I’m all over this blog but I guess readers don’t really see it that way. My “voice” I think is pretty evident, but not so many photos of me, so I will try to improve on that. But really, I kind of hate being in front of the camera, so I’m going for a compromise here. That way I can pop my kids in this series if I’m feeling like there’s a Deborah overload.

Here’s my first Wednesday Wears post, which I happened to wear on a Monday. I wore this to volunteer at Gunnar’s middle school for a teacher appreciation event. I had to decorate a bulletin board for the students to express what they love about their teachers and then help set up their lounge for a catered lunch. So I went for casual and comfortable, but still didn't want to embarrass my middle schooler by showing up in sweats.
