24 Hours

What would you do with 24 hours? 24 hours kid free and chore free? Aaron and I were finally able to celebrate our anniversary a few weekends ago. We opted for a staycation since it’s hard to go anywhere for just one night, especially a place we haven’t already visited. And not to mention, we had no money, ha! We had received a few gift certificates from family and friends, so we were going to put them to good use.

Aaron dropped the kids off around 3pm on a Saturday, one went to a friend’s house, and two went to my parents, then we headed to the movies. After, we headed to a 'new to us' restaurant that my family has been raving about for months. Picca, in West Los Angeles, a peruvian/asian fusion place that was out of this world! Beware, to get reservations was a pain in the neck, and then when we showed up, they had no record of them. But they squeezed us in and the food was outstanding, not to mention their Fur on Boots drink. Get it! Try online reservations instead. We came home and with no kids to put to sleep, and no one to wake us up in the morning, we stayed up and rented Philomena. Excellent movie. The next morning we slept in, and headed to a fun Vietnamese diner (I know that doesn’t make sense, but it was good) in Highland Park for brunch. We felt a little adventurous by trying something new. Then we stopped in at Williams Sonoma to buy a few things for the house on the way home. There you have our 24 hours.

How would you spend 24 hours in your city? (all photos taken with my iPhone)
