One of the things we look forward to each year camping is our menu. I know, you're probably thinking, look forward to camp food?! Say wha?
But it's true. This year a few families decided to stay an extra night, which gave us so much more exploring time! Really worth it. But it also meant each family was responsible for more than just one meal. It turned out to be one meal plus a meal with shared prep between two families..
Here's what was on this year's menu for breakfasts:
~French toast with berries, bacon, french press coffee (you can read all about Tanya's coffee-roasting camping here)
~Breakfast burritos, bacon, potatoes with mushrooms and asparagus, fresh watermelon, juice, bananas, french press coffee
~Eggs, bacon, honeydew, juice, toast, french press coffee (always french press coffee :)
The lunch menu this year included:
~Sliced turkey pastrami and ham, swiss, sourdough and french bread, and all the sandwich fixings you could imagine, along with chips and watermelon
~Pulled barbecue beef and rolls, honeydew, and coleslaw
Our dinners were rounded out by:
~Grilled Carne Asada and all the fixings
~Shabu Shabu with beef and all the veggies and rice
