This week I'd like to introduce you to one adorable girl and her blog. Alix and I were at the same sponsor dinner in Alt but we were seated at opposite sides and so we never actually met that night. Fast forward two days and I finally crossed paths with her and her adorable glittery cards. They seriously stole the spotlight at Alt.Alix is the creator of the sweet blog a RUFFLED life. She was kind enough to answer a few questions for me so we can get to know her and her blog better. Here we go...
1. What has been your favorite post you've ever written and why?
This may sound mushy gushy, but my favorite post of all time was the birth story post of my son Liam. While I spend most of my blog space on crafts and the everyday, this post- Liam's birth- is about a moment that changed who I am forever. I gave birth without medication, and in the process I found strength deep within me that only a moment like birth could reveal. My ability to love grew. It was spiritual and sacred and my husband, Clint, was able to share that whole process with Liam and I. And I think Liam's birth really defined me as a person who could accomplish hard things with purpose and intention. But the post really just talks a lot about losing bladder control during contractions. :)
On a lighter note, and more typical of my blog, my second favorite post sported photos of my fall mantel decor and a burlap garland DIY...because I'm in a passionate relationship with both fall and garland. Wouldn't the world be a better place if we all had a little more fall foliage and burlap?
2. I think blogs are very reflective of their writer's personalities. If you could use 3 adjectives to describe both you and your blog what would they be?
Huh...three words? I have been contemplating this very question as I am in the process of strengthening my blog brand and these are the three I have come up with (but I'm not tattooing these on my butt, so they may change people).
1-Crafty...glue guns and glitter are really important to me. Like Extremely Important.
2-Funny...I think I'm funny anyways ;)
3-Determined-y...I dare you to dare me to fail (did you catch that?)
Thank you Alix! And I have to totally agree with ya on the first question. Being a natural birth mama myself, there is nothing I felt I can't accomplish after that experience. I hope you all will find as much enjoyment as I have from visiting a Ruffled Life and keep it in your daily read.
