Could these little bits be any sweeter or more kissable? I don’t think so. When your best friend has a baby, oh it just is all the more wonderful. If only... if only the two hour round trip drive to kiss her were shorter. I am having withdrawals from this wee one, and that needs to be taken care of. pronto.
What are your plans for the weekend? Anything fun and exciting?
Chances are we will be spending a lot of time on a Native American children’s book project that needs to be completed by my fourth grader. I love the creativity of the project and Sawyer has learned so much in the process, but when your kid has grand ideas, well, it takes a lot more time than they sometimes envision.
We’ve got one more week of school left before our break and I cannot wait for lazy mornings and sleeping in and just the chance to be home and still with my kids for a few days.
I love the anticipation of January. The start of a new year, a new calendar. Although the time is speeding by it’s always a reminder for reevaluating old goals and setting new ones. Do you have any goals for 2014? At the moment the only thing on my brain is purging over the break. I take that time to get rid of so much stuff we’ve accumulated. Go through closets, see what’s too small and what we need to replace. A house that has less stuff always remains my goal, no matter what time of year. An uncluttered house has a direct correlation to an uncluttered mind for me. And let’s be honest, we all know I can use that!
