interesting reads...

I wish I had a yummy recipe to share with you, or a cool DIY project, but I don’t! Our weekends seem to go by in a flash, why is that? Monday to Thursday sure don’t go as fast as Friday to Monday. It’s not right. We had a weekend full of delicious food and friends, some family time thrown in there and some not so fun things too. It’s never fun to waste weekend hours on things that make you feel down. So I’m making a conscious effort to take back those hours wasted. I’ll have to keep you posted on how I manage to do that, but it’s my goal for the week.

That photo above was from our family photo shoot with Josh Elliott. Some days I just sift through these pictures, they make me so happy. And some days I need to smile more.

Since I don’t have too much to share, or anything all that interesting to blog about, I thought I would share what I enjoyed this weekend on the internet.

This article I found fascinating. I have a son who is extremely interested in history and the original 13 colonies, and all that jazz, so reading this was so so interesting for me. I never really have ever stopped to think about how the founders of these different colonies still influence the culture of the areas. I know this idea is not new, but it’s new to me! If you have a few minutes, it’s a long read, but really really worth it. I’m not saying of course that this is an accurate interpretation for everyone living in all these areas, but it gives you something to think about for sure.

And this! Oh this is what I SHOULD’VE thought of! This is my favorite movie of all time, I’ve seen it too many times to count and I know all the words. I teared up a little watching because THIS SHOULD’VE BEEN OUR FIRST DANCE!!! Oh well, there’s always the 20th anniversary party right?! Ha. Ha.

I think I need to stay here at some point in my life.

Also, I’ve become quite the fan of white wooden floors. I do believe one day I might own them. Not in this house. But one day mark my words...

I hope your Monday is a good one and that your weekend was a great one.
