Book Posts for Winter Break

We are readers. All five of us now. Yay for Greta! Her reading has taken off this year. I am so so proud of her. I thought I'd do a little book post before all of our kids are home on winter break. There's nothing worse than bored kids, so why not have some new books for them to delve in to.

Greta~ She has been loving Mo Willems books right now, she recently checked out I Broke My Trunk! from the library. Aaron still reads to Greta nightly before bed, and they just completed the third book in the Little House on the Prairie series, Farmer Boy. Oh did she love reading about Almonzo. Aaron is taking a break from the series and is now reading to her Heidi

Sawyer~I read to the boys awhile ago the first in the Mysterious Benedict Society series, Gunnar continued on and read the whole series, and Sawyer is now working his way through them as well. They are great books, and really make your kids think. He is reading right now Justin Case:Shells, Smells, and the Horrible Flip-Flops of Doom, preparing for a book presentation he is doing in a few weeks.

Gunnar~He is still loving all history novels at the moment, his teacher gave him Mayflower to read, and he is also reading the first in a series that he is loving right now, Surviving the Applewhites.

Me~I definitely have not had much reading time the past month or so. But over our vacation last month I finished a great trilogy, and I just checked out from the library Language of Flowers. I am not more than 5 pages in so I can't give you an opinion yet, but it came highly recommended by several friends.

Aaron hasn't had much time to read either, but our December date is to a coffee shop and bookstore for him to pick out a new book, so hopefully he picks something good.
