Thursday night we got the kids rental gear and were told that this was supposed to be the best weekend of the entire season to date. Aaron and Gunnar were pretty psyched. After a stop at the local pizza joint we went back to our much too small condo and hit the sack. I say much too small because for 5 people, it was one large room with a kitchen and a bathroom. And when you first walk in you don't think it's too small but then you have to take the murphy bed down and pull out the sofa sleeper, and then it becomes too small. Because there are just beds everywhere. There was set of bunkbeds for the boys, Greta was in the sofa sleeper and Aaron and I took the Murphy bed. Not surprisingly Aaron and I didn't sleep that great. In fact when Aaron woke up Friday I didn't think he was going to make it. The altitude got to him during the night and the man looked like he was in trouble. But he wasn't about to miss a day of fresh powder. Because when we woke up the snow began to fall and it snowed the entire day.

Thus a good cold weather sweater was in order. I was pretty excited to put this sweater to good use. I have had it for years, but you really need to be in under 30 degree weather to wear it. And because we were in the teens that day, it worked great.

Friday morning Greta and I took the boys to the lodge and we set off for some mama/daughter bonding. First stop, coffee of course. And this bagel made Greta pretty happy. Then we were off to Color Me Mine for some pottery painting. Apparently mermaids are only supposed to be pink and purple.
